“MEAT IN DUE SEASON” by J. G. Messervy-Norman.

It is a rare pleasure to come across of book so compelling that one has great difficulty in putting it down. I cannot remember being gripped by any written work quite in the same way, apart from perhaps by a few outstanding biographies of some fascinating larger than life historical characters. Yet, when I was given the opportunity to read the second edition of “Meat in Due Season”, I found that I simply could not put it down, and consequently I read it from cover to cover in a matter of days. There is no doubt in my mind that “Meat in Due Season” is a work of the greatest importance, as it carries a most urgent and hugely challenging message for both Christian and Jew alike. The book contains page after page of the most amazing insights, which literally keep the reader glued to its pages, and eager to read and discover more. The author clearly is a man of great courage, as he fearlessly exposes the many falsehoods we have been taught by our peers and elders. Whereas he dares to show us where Christianity has departed from the true path charted by its founder, he also is able to show the way forward to reconciliation between Jew and Christian alike. The author in this work has succeeded in his purpose to create a workable and realistic bridge across the age old entrenched divide between Christianity and Judaism, and this through his inspired illumination of the great statements by the prophets of Israel. “Meat in Due Season” lives up to its name in that contains a vital message whose time has arrived.

“ONE IN THE HAND OF GOD”, is a remarkable 28 page synopsis, which has been designed with texts in varying colours and written as an introduction to a larger spellbinding book titled “Meat in Due Season” by J. G. Messervy-Norman. Both of these publications entice the reader along a path of exciting discovery in which age old concepts are presented in a wholly new and most original way. The subject of this particular book concerns the Judaic idea of two Messiahs - respectively the Messiah Ben (son of) Joseph, and the Messiah Ben (son of) David, which are spoken of by the ancient Sages of Israel, with each Messiah having its own specific task to perform. The author, in both publications, develops this compelling and most timely theme by taking his readers on a journey to what appears to be a hopelessly impossible destination. Yet, he confounds all would be sceptics by leading on to an ultimate climax where both the Messiah of Christianity and the Messiah of Judaism become, “One in the Hand of God”. I highly recommend this work to all who are hungry seekers after truth, especially to those who are prepared to think outside the traditional box to achieve their desire for greater understanding.”
